Everything’s systems.

‘Everything is Systems.’ is a slogan.  Boringly, but more accurately, any set of interacting things in the universe can be viewed as a system, i.e. systemically.  What makes a systemic approach powerful, and different from others, is that it can combine many different perspectives of a “system of interest” in a systems model.

Dr. Diaper has researched many types of system over a quarter of a century, from those of very small businesses to large safety critical systems, notably Air Traffic Control (ATC). In between, he has studied a lot of office systems, some manufacturing ones (tangible products and software), and quite a few education and training systems.

Dr. Diaper started his applied science and engineering career studying systems using, and developing, task analysis.  While still researching and writing about, and training people in, task analysis, his more recent work has integrated task analytic approaches with a philosophically and technically more sophisticated general systems approach (the most recent research has not yet been published, but related references in Dr. Diaper’s curriculum vitae are: [50], [55], [64], [67], [69], [71]).

DDD SYSTEMS can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of clients’ operations.  No complex system, which includes any that involve people, can be perfect and all require compromises, whether explicitly recognised or not.  Thus, virtually all such systems can be improved so as, for example, to improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and so forth.

Dr. Diaper argues that most of the published work on systemics is, politely, inadequate.  Even many of the basic, fundamental concepts of systems theories, such as negative feedback, or goals, are grossly simplified if not actually illogical.  There can be only a few handfuls of people in the world who understand general systems as well as Dr. Diaper, simply because considerable interdisciplinary expertise is essential, e.g. in science, engineering, business, and philosophy (including logic/mathematics).

Dr. Diaper’s expertise is rare and it costs nothing to contact him. Whatever your business, you will gain competitive advantage by improving your systems at an affordable cost because of the DDD SYSTEMS pricing policy.  You can find out more about him if you just Google: “Dan Diaper”; you will get thousands of hits.
