PHOTOGRAPH IMAGE QUALITY
All photographs were taken on the camera at
7Million pixels and stored as .jpeg files of dimensions 3072 x 2304. Camera source files are over 3Mbytes
(available with the BUY Copyright option) and, without loss of resolution,
generally the computer .jpeg files are in the range 0.5-1.6Mbytes.
- I have tested having photographs enlarge, up to A1 size (594 x 841mm), which is quite a large poster, and the resolution and crispness of lines is excellent. You have to get to within a few inches to be able to see that the image is digitised, which, of course, is a property of the poster printer’s processes as well as the photographer’s.

a .jpeg file and post an enlarged photograph/poster to any address
requested. Prices vary a great
deal. In the
There are a wide variety of options, for example, about paper/card/other material quality and weight, about surface finish, about borders, and much else. Prices can be several hundred pounds for the more exotic options. Generally there is a premium to be paid for rapid turnaround (‘order placed’ to ‘with customer’), which can as little as next-day to about a week.
Similarly, “picture frames” will produce many suppliers on the internet. Prices range, for A1 clips frames with a plastic “glass” from under £20 to around £50 for wooden or metal frames (and, of course, very much more). Of course, you have to put the photograph/poster in the frame yourself. You can find companies who will print, mount, frame and post your photograph, but in many cases they are not the cheapest option.
